Hi, the lighting made it pretty tricky. Sometimes the 70-200 f2.8 IS would work but plenty of times I had to use the 85 f1.8. Never used IS on that first lens for this type of event so can't speak to that but one of the things I learned was that the overhead lights create brighter and darker areas on the floor that you have to be aware of. If you can manage to shoot in the brighter areas, you should have good luck. But trying to stop motion in the darker areas, very difficult. Use of ISO1600 is usually required and sometimes ISO3200.
